Ally + Jordan — what a dream team. These two got married at the end of the CRAZY Texas summer, and I don’t think we could’ve asked for better weather. This day encapsulated fun, family, and nostalgia that I think came together beauty in this wedding film.
The quintessential childhood love story, these two met when they were kids and have been together ever since. After years of growing up together, it’s amazing to see two people so close, a pairing that is so comfortable and natural to experience.
After shooting over the summer at Palo Duro Canyon, it was so nice to get back to Amarillo! This outdoor celebration took place at the gorgeous Resplendent Garden! Having spent years visiting Amarillo, it was unknown to me but I was blown away. Walking onto the grounds is like entering a lush oasis– not West Texas. The perfectly manicured lawn, overflowing array of flowers, and huge trees, it’s like the ultimate gardener’s dream.
The day was planned and executed by Allison the Socialite and her awesome team. These are some of the best out there, and I love spending wedding days with them! Instead of opting for separate ceremony and reception spaces, or a venue flip, they set up the ceremony *with* tables and chairs. The guests got to enjoy the ceremony from the comfort of their seats, and embrace the laid-back, elevated backyard party vibes that were so on point.
The day was flowered by the amazing team at Fleurish Designs and DAMN did they do a bang-up job. I’m not here to hate on a neutral color palette, but the vibrant colors of this wedding were SO fun and refreshing. They embraced the environment and used that to their advantage to create a fun, colorful floral design that matched Ally + Jordan to a T.
We enjoyed a variety of food trucks and stands for dinner, and it was a HIT! There was a huge grazing table by The Local Wedge, a pizza truck by Reagan’s Brick Oven, your Tex-Mex street taco fix from Joe Taco, popsicles from Purple Flamingo, and even a custom bar built into a vintage truck– Tap Truck Amarillo was the bomb.
From perfect weather, to unique design, and romantic greenhouse couple’s portraits, it’s safe to say Allyson and Jordan’s wedding day was such a fresh, unique, beautiful event that was a pleasure to capture. Seeing these two embrace each other, have fun together, and dance the night away with their friends and family was an absolute treat. Crafting this wedding film was such a special, unique experience, and I’m so glad they have something to cherish and remember their big day!
Cheers to the Knights!✨🥂
